Orlando Shopping

Shop 'Til You Drop! You can’t go on an Orlando vacation without taking a few souvenirs home, right? In addition to souvenirs, there are plenty of items available at Orlando shopping malls and discount outlets at substantially lower prices than you could get them at home, especially if you are from another country.

There are an abundant number of options available when it comes to shopping during your Orlando vacation - all a convenient drive away. Some of the more expensive souvenirs that you find at the theme parks can be acquired for half the price at some of the many Orlando shopping malls and outlets.

Also, please be wary of the signs claiming to be factory outlets during your Orlando vacation. Many of them have inserted the word “prices” in very small typeface after their “Factory Outlet” claims. While they may, indeed have some very cheap prices, many of the knockoff items they are selling won’t last long enough to make it home with you.

Below, you will find a brief description of the factory outlets, malls and other shopping venues you may wish to visit during your Orlando vacation. I know they are reputable and offer quality merchandise because my wife, Karen, is a world class shopper and visits them all too frequently.

  • The Florida Mall - This is truly where the locals shop. Seven department stores along with 250 specialty stores make this the place to shop if you don’t know what you are looking for. Frequently, the sales prices here are better than the ones offered even at the factory outlets.

  • Belz Factory Outlet World - A complex of many separate annexes, this venue is by far the largest and most diverse of any of the factory outlets. Big discounts can be found here if your legs have the endurance to make it everywhere.

  • The Mall At Millenia - This mall is for those who want only the best. You will not find big discounts here but you will find excellent quality in this, the most beautiful of all the Orlando shopping malls.

  • The Lake Buena Vista Factory Stores - A smaller version of the Belz Factory Outlet, many excellent bargains can be found here with great deals on jeans, tennis shoes, theme park merchandise and more.

  • Orlando Premium Outlets - Unlike a regular factory outlet mall, this place has outlets from some of the “higher-end” manufacturers. It’s an excellent place to go for premium quality fashion and accessories.

  • Pointe Orlando - Located on International Drive, in the heart of the tourist strip, this place offers a wide array of places to shop as well as a variety of entertainment venues and restaurants.

  • Festival Bay Mall - Located at the North end of International Drive, this is the newest shopping venue in the area and offers a variety of stores that are not available anywhere else as well as places to eat and a movie Cineplex.

  • Old Town - Unique stores line the street here, scattered amongst pubs, rides and the bizarre.

  • Downtown Disney - A great place to go that has a little bit of everything. The latest in all things Disney can be purchased at a variety of Disney stores and there are many unique items available at other shops as well.

  • Disney’s Boardwalk - A quaint and beautiful area with a few specialty shops as well as restaurants and entertainment can be found here.

  • CityWalk - A smattering of specialty shops is at this entertainment complex. Many of the items are unique and can only be purchased here.
