Perhaps spending an entire day and night at a theme park is a little too exhausting for those wishing to actually relax on their Orlando vacation. When combined with a lazy day at the pool, Shopping or any of the Half Day Attractions, an Orlando dinner show could be the perfect blend of sun, fun and nighttime entertainment for your family’s Orlando vacation.
When the sun goes down, there is more to do on your Orlando vacation besides watching theme park entertainment spectaculars or partying the night away at one of the many clubs in the area. Within a twenty minute ride from most of the vacation area, are a bevy of Orlando dinner shows that cater to the tastes of just about everyone.
If an Orlando dinner show is something that you would like to see, please don’t forget to make a reservation. Many of them sell out, especially during the busier times of the year and we’d hate to see you spoil your Orlando vacation by being turned away at the door. Below, you will find a brief description of the many Orlando dinner shows in the area that will fill your nights and make your Orlando vacation complete:
Pirate’s Dinner Adventure - Action, comedy and romance are all a part of a swashbuckling good time at this family-oriented Orlando dinner show. Enjoy a musical adventure as this show’s buccaneer bunch rob, pillage, plunder and, well ... act like pirates all aboard the set, which is a full size pirate’s galleon. After the show, the bacchanalia continues at the Buccaneer Bash, where you can dance and party the night away. The pre-show festival offers a buffet of salads and appetizers before guests sit down for the real feast during the main show. Also included is unlimited draft beer and wine during the show as well as a selection of Caribbean coffees during the Buccaneer Bash.
Arabian Nights - A storybook tale of adventure and romance combine with more than sixty stunning stallions in a horse-lover’s dream dinner show that combines some of the world’s best riders and stunt performers with Arabian, Andalusian, Belgian, Clydesdale and many other exotic horse breeds. A variety of meal choices are offered with unlimited beer, wine and Coca Cola products included.
Sleuths Mystery Dinner Shows - My personal favorite, these Orlando dinner shows offer guests the opportunity to become the dete ctive and interact with the actors, in an attempt to solve a heinous crime. Visitors may return time and again to see a completely different mystery unfold, as the show offers eleven different whodunit comedies to choose from. A variety of main course dishes are available to choose from with unlimited beer, wine and soda served. The theaters are more intimate than most of the other shows. Because of the small audience sizes, advance reservations are highly recommended.
Medieval Times Dinner & Tournament - Kissimmee, Florida was the original North American location for this Orlando-area dinner show that has become so popular, it can be enjoyed at venues throughout the world and also been seen in movies such as The Cable Guy (starring Jim Carrey). Shocking plot twists and turns abound in this classic tale of truth, honor and love where good triumphs over evil. Guests will cheer their knight on in the skills competitions where each shows off his proficiency with medieval weapons and d emonstrates his horsemanship prowess. Serfs and wenches serve a four course meal to dinner patrons and two complimentary beverages are included with the show. A cash bar is available as well.
Disney Character Dining - Held at locations throughout all of Walt Disney World, these breakfast, lunch and dinner shows each offer different character and dining experiences. From buffets to full service dinners, from Goofy to Cinderella to Mickey Mouse himself, there is no better opportunity to meet and have photographs taken with your favorite Disney characters. Advance reservations are an absolute must as some of these shows sell out as much as a month in ahead of time!
Disney’s Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Review - Experience an All-American hoe-down and meal at this musical comedy extravaganza set in frontier America. This knee-slapping Orlando dinner show held in Disney’s Fort Wilderness includes an all you can eat dinner as well as unlimited beer, wine, sangria and soft drinks.
Disney’s Spirit Of Aloha Dinner Show - Performed outside of Disney’s tropical island paradise at the Polynesian Resort, guests of this popular Orlando dinner show are greeted in true Hawaiian style with a flower lei and then treated to hula dancers, fire twirlers and other traditional Polynesian entertainment. A savory tropical meal is accompanied by unlimited beer, wine, sangria and soft drinks. Due to the fact that this show takes place in an open air theater, please be advised that it is not performed during inclement weather.
Sea World’s Makahiki Luau - Colorful Pacific Island dancers join together with delicious island cuisine at this Polynesian festival performed at Sea World. Hula and fire dancers sway and swirl to the rhythm of authentic Hawaiian music as guests enjoy a full course tropical meal, which includes Anheuser Busch beers, wine, sangria, coffee, tea, sodas and one complimentary cocktail. Reservations must be made in advance and park admission is not required or included with this Orlando dinner show.
Capone’s Dinner & Show - Set in a gangland-era Chicago speakeasy, this Orlando-area dinner show; located in Kissimmee, Florida, features 1930’s songs, dance and comedy. It includes an unlimited dinner buffet as well as unlimited draft beer, sangria, rumrunners, coffee, tea, and sodas. This is the least expensive of the dinner show’s and, well ... you get what you pay for.
