That’s fine if you don’t plan on eating anything but hotel and theme park food, don’t plan on doing any shopping, and don’t care about experiencing any of the other exciting attractions and sights that are available in the Central Florida area. The undisclosed price of the non-complimentary shuttles or the cost of a taxi for a couple of restaurant trips and/or trips to the malls can easily far exceed the price of an Orlando car rental for an entire week! If you plan on going to the beach or Kennedy Space Center, you can count on a round trip taxi cost of at least $200.00. Finally, you should also keep in mind that many hotels’ shuttles run once a day to the parks and return only once. A twelve to fifteen hour day at a theme park is more than most children can endure and their complaints to leave are more than most parents can bear. The last thing you want to do during your Orlando vacation is restrict your freedom, so heed these words of advice ... RENT A CAR!
