EPCOT Center’s - World Showcase

World Showcase Lagoon

“We have created characters and animated them in the dimension of depth, revealing through them to our perturbed world that the things we have in common far outnumber and outweigh those that divide us.”

- Walt Disney

Wrapping around a beautiful, placid body of water known as the World Showcase Lagoon, is the half of EPCOT Center known as the World Showcase. The eleven nations represented here each provide a unique opportunity for EPCOT Center visitors to sample food, shop for native goods and experience the culture of each of these countries with movies, performances, exhibits or rides.

The World Showcase buildings, themselves are replications of some of the architecture that can be seen in these nations and the cast members that work in each one are actually from the countries that the buildings represent. Often overlooked, even the plants, flowers and trees that surround each of these structures are representative of those found in each of these lands. The beauty and interesting architecture found in the World Showcase section of EPCOT Center affords more excellent photo opportunities than perhaps, anywhere else in the Orlando vacation area!

World ShowcaseIf your Orlando vacation plans include dining at any of the sit-down restaurants located in the World Showcase, you will definitely need to make reservations at the dining establishment of your choice immediately upon entering the theme park, as most of them become fully booked by dinner time. Please do not miss the World Showcase’s nighttime entertainment spectacular, Illuminations. It is truly the most fantastic show of water, music, lasers and fireworks ever put together and no Orlando vacation would be complete without experiencing it!

Let your World Showcase journey begin by clicking each nation’s name in the navigation bar at the top left of this page and begin exploring the many interesting things that each country’s pavilion has to offer.
