Cypress Gardens Rides

With five roller coasters, the world’s tallest spinning rapids adventure and a slew of other rides that tilt, twirl and turn topsy-turvy, there is certainly enough action at Cypress Gardens to fill the needs of thrill ride seekers. Families needn’t worry about having nothing for the little ones to do; however, since there are nine rides made specifically for them here as well. If coasters aren’t your thing and the kiddie rides don’t do it for you, Cypress Gardens hasn’t forgotten about you! There is a whole assortment of rides that fall somewhere in the middle of those for the insane and those for the tame. Some of the more noteworthy of the rides that can be found at Cypress Gardens are:

Triple HurricaneTriple Hurricane: Reminiscent of those found on early boardwalks, this classic wooden roller coaster takes Orlando vacationers back to an age of simpler times and innocent places. Note: No one under 36 inches tall may ride this attraction and those who are between 36 inches and 42 inches tall must be accompanied by an adult.

Swamp ThingSwamp Thing: With their feet dangling below them, this suspended roller coaster sends riders screaming around twists, turns, peaks and valleys on a track that hangs overhead. Note: To experience this Orlando vacation attraction, you must be at least 44 inches tall.

Galaxy SpinGalaxy Spin: Riders on this dizzying coaster will experience hairpin turn after hairpin turn as they make their way down the track, spinning with every curve.
Note: No one under 42 inches tall may ride this attraction and those who are between 42 inches and 48 inches tall must be accompanied by an adult.

ThunderboltThunderbolt: It’s hard to say what is worse: The 120 foot drop or the anticipation of it as the ride vehicle makes its way up the tower in an agonizingly slow crawl. When you get to the top, the earth rushes up so quickly, that you are at the bottom before the scream has left your throat. The question is answered ... it’s the drop! Note: To experience this Orlando vacation attraction, you must be at least 42 inches tall.

Storm SurgeStorm Surge: This six-person white water raft takes riders up to a height of 60 feet before they are released on a wild, twisting and turning journey that sends them spinning down in dizzying circles.
