Busch Gardens Tampa Bay - Rides

 

There is no better park for rides in the entire Central Florida area than Busch Gardens Tampa Bay, Florida. This is; in fact, one of the best theme parks in the country for those that like their rides fast and furious. With seven roller coasters and three wild water rides, thrill-seekers should surely get their fix here. There are plenty of rides that lift, twirl and spin as well as skyrides, trains and an entire section devoted to children too.

Congo River RapidsCongo River Rapids: Spin through a geyser, stare down a waterfall and go careening around and through other obstacles on this wild, white water rafting ride. GwaziGwazi: Named after a mythological lion with a tiger’s head, this double wooden roller coaster is the largest in the Southeast United States.

Kumba
Kumba: With an initial drop of 135 feet, a 110 foot diving loop, one of the world’s largest loops and a 360-degree spiral that gives riders a three second sensation of weightlessness, this is one of the world’s best roller coasters.

MontuMontu: One of the world’s tallest and longest inverted roller coasters, this ride takes passengers through an inverse diving loop and a 60 foot vertical loop while reaching speeds of up to 60 miles per hour and 3.85 G’s.

SheiKraSheiKra: After climbing 200 feet into the air, riders are sent hurtling backwards at a 90-degree angle toward the ground. Included in this first of its kind coaster in the Americas are a 360- degree climbing carousel, a second 90-degree drop though an underground tunnel and even a splash through water.

Stanley FallsStanley Falls: What better way to cool off the whole family than a refreshing water ride? This log flume features a forty-foot drop that is sure to leave you wet and possibly soaked!

Tanganyika Tidal WaveTanganyika Tidal Wave: Starting innocently enough, this seemingly tranquil cruise through the African jungle turns very hairy - culminating in a 55-foot drop that is sure to leave you absolutely soaking wet.

Land Of DragonsLand Of Dragons: The Land Of Dragons is not a ride but; rather, a children’s play area that features rides including a family roller coaster as well as slides, waterfalls and yes, friendly dragons. The ride restrictions go in reverse for the most part here and if you’re not with a child, you won’t be able to ride them (why would you want to?).
